As a respected healer within a war-torn keep, Sadhbh has spent years stitching soldiers back together with herbs, patience, and skill. But after violence reaches even the safety of her ward, she is left carrying wounds no salve can touch.

Art understands that kind of pain.

A battle-worn soldier who buried his past, his grief, and nearly himself beneath years of war, Art expected little more from life than duty and an eventual grave. Instead, he finds Sadhbh.

What begins as quiet trust slowly becomes something neither of them expected. In each other, they discover a reason to hope for more than survival.

Then a fragile truce changes everything.

An ailing enemy lord demands Sadhbh as his healer, sending her beyond the safety of the keep and into lands where peace may prove more dangerous than battle.

Separated by duty and surrounded by old hatred, betrayal, and war, Sadhbh and Art must decide how much they are willing to risk for the life they have only just begun to imagine.
